Raven's Box was created to help local farmers sell directly to food professionals.
Our goal is to streamline the entire process from Farm to Table, so that farmers can easily connect with Chefs, Caterers, and other food professionals. By allowing farmers to fulfill orders directly online, they're able to increase profits while decreasing waste.
Raven's Box has pre-established relationships with farmer's markets, food organizations, agricultural groups, and alternative energy groups. By fostering strong relationships between these groups and other non-profit organizations, we hope to one day become the preferred method of produce sales.
Last season, Raven's Box teamed up with Growing Washington, helping them connect to local chefs, who were able to place their orders online. The process was well received by both Farmers and Chefs. With such positive feedback, we continue to refine the process to make it even better for this year! We look forward to working with more farms, food producers, and food professionals.
farm testimonials
"Raven's Box is an extremely useful tool for farmers and restaurants alike. The ease of updating the site and simple interface makes Ravensbox easy to use for both the customer and the farmers. In addition, the order is directly emailed to you, with pricing, which makes invoicing and tracking payments easier than doing things the old fashioned way. I recommend Raven's Box to any farmer who is looking to move some serious food, and to any restaurant looking for an easy method to order and receive local food."
"If there is one thing that a farmer like me doesn't have during the peak of the season it is extra time. Using Raven's Box has been a great way for us to list our farm products, connect with our wholesale accounts, and enjoy smooth and efficient transactions that save our farm time and valuable resources. On the flip side, Raven's Box makes purchasing local farm products easier and more efficient for the chefs and food service professionals who are hungry for our products. The simple format, nice photos and descriptions, automated invoices, and interface features make selling food more profitable for farmers and more affordable for buyers."
chef testimonials
"I have been buying the best quality produce from Growing Washington for six years. Last year, the service took a noticeable step up to match the product. This is due to the new Raven's Box application. Instead of waiting for farmer's fresh sheet each week, I was able to go online at my convenience and select the fruits and vegetables that were available with the comfort that Cheryl would be able to fill my order. Simple as that. And when I say "at my convenience" that means that at 1 AM, at the end of a long shift, I can go online, look at the pretty pictures of the produce in question, and order in the quantities I need. And I still have the choice of picking up my order at the farmers market or having it delivered. Best of all, I know I am supporting restorative farming practices and a whole slew of farmers and farm workers who really give a damn about the system. I look forward to working with Growing Washington and Raven's Box this season and for years to come."
